Where Do You Go?

Everyone wants to pay minimum wage.....to qualified....not qualified enough.....it is an employers market......they get to pick and pay what they want and we just want to have a job so do we lower the bar or not....all the books say no.....I have a headache......do I travel further for less pay or what? Help!

Trying to apply for some jobs at Purdue and my password is not "fancy" enough.....bad enough I have to remember my name plus all these passwords...ugh.... I am also looking for comments about staffing companies.......anybody have any experiences they can share? I'll be waiting....

It will be 3 mths. since I was let go and still looking for work.....but I will keep moving along!!! had a great weekend and it filled me with hope and anticipation for a great week again!!! Read more of my book.....and I am ready to go.....AND how about those Bears!!!!

New Books to Read

Job Searching the About.com guide.....very helpful with applying online....also Fired to Hired by Tory Johnson...She is with Good Morning America and is very helpful and has a website you can go to.....also Dare to Dream by Paula White. She talks about seeing yourself as God sees you....very helpful becuase when we are pulled in twenty directions and being told what everyone wants us to do and be ;the bottom line of what is really important is what God wants us to be......this book really helps you focus on having your job search Christ centered and being able to prioritize after that.....Blessings!

Well , I must be in a hurry for the month to be over...I had the wrong date on the last posting...another beautiful day to do my weekly filing......hopefully the Lord will grant me another week of patience and hope.....I applied at 7 jobs this week....one I just keep resending my e-mail ( in case they missed it ):) The Lord has instilled in me a sense of humor I just can't get rid of! :) Blessings to all of you today , relax and re-energize.....and face tomorrow with a new out look! .....If he clothes the lilies and feeds the birds he will take care of us all!!!

A positive to start the day...meeting with self help person on Oct.1st...I am excited about this...she will hopefully help tweak me so everyone will want to hire me...:) Blessings and joy to you all!!!

So do these two things go together? I need them both and I am running dry on both of them....at least for the moment ......can't help my kids,can't fill my gas tank, have to think twice about just spending a dollar:( Help me Lord

The day after the interview

Well I had the interview and it was good but again only part time...ugh....going further and paying tolls....such a dilemma......The ladies in the office were so nice.....minimum wage.....do I take the job?Please give me some advise!!!

And I received another response...again I am hopeful!!! Interview with an association that I thought was over...SURPRISE ...possibilities to internet full time hours with another site of theirs....we will see....it is good for the practice of an interview! Blessings ..... it is all good!

Sunday Morning....Sept.13,2009

Wow foggy this morning!!!! Another week done and another week of coming...this week I was able to have more contact with people and put closure on some places I applied....I also was able to apply in person at a couple of places....for some reason I felt like I did better.
Someone else I know went to see the Julie and Julia Movie and they were also inspired to go to borders and check out her books....I think that movie is INSPIRING!!! The whole theatre participates while watching it ...you feel good when you leave the theatre and you want to talk about it...if you haven'tseen it GOOOOO!!! It encouraged me to start my blog....as I said before I have things to say:)

Anew day, a new dawn

Well I applied at another job...this one in Chicago!!! Who knows?? I also invested in buying a new book...Fired to hired by Tori Johnson....great book and very helpful in giving direction! So many other books just tell you things like you are stupid....I really get the impression she understands because she was there herself.....I recommend it highly!!!! Have a great one!!!!

Sitting in Panera filing a nother weekly claim.....somehow sitting in here doesn't make it feel so sad...splurged on a pumpkin latte.....mmmmm so worth it....So I will start another week of searching for a job and for my place in society.....had discussion this week to go into offices and personally ask if they are hiring versus e-mailing/and/faxing....if an employer only gives that info but he says he still wants person towalk thru the door shouldn't he also tell them that? Some employers don't want you to walk in...I'mreally getting tired of the games ...I just want to work and all these games make you second guess yourself.....any suggestions?I'm also tired of people who just judge you for what they think you are doing instead of helping and bing encouraging. I am trying to stay diligent and work at it everyday...just like work. Doing a little of both...so keep me in your prayers so I don't get any more discouraged then I am...and same to you.....all in good in God's time!

holiday weekend

Well,another beautiful day.....my son is getting married this weekend and the kids and I will spend an extra day together....going to Starved Rock! Wish I had a job so I could some extra things but I don't sooo we are jamming as much as we can into an extra day......well and I am grateful the Lord has provided wonderful weather and beautiful nature and wonderful kids to enjoy this weekend....what more really do I need...gas money???? Now I am off track .....the Lord does provide!!!!! More looking up for our needs.....onward and forward allyou job hunters....Psalm 5 : 3
